The Business Unit (BU) Consumer Goods manages the complete supply chain flow from several Business Lines like Textiles, DIY products, Pharmaceuticals, Sporting Goods, Aftermarket logistics and E-commerce. KATOEN NATIE has several sites in 40 countries in Europe, North America, South America and the Far East and has more than 18.000 people active in operational, staff and management functions.

To support this fast-growing business unit, Katoen Natie is looking for an Assistant Contract Manager based on the site of Kallo (Antwerp). She or he will be a crucial player in the contract management strategy of the business unit. The focus is to actively support the internal teams with all related legal documents towards the customers.


After an extensive training, you will:

  • support the business unit contract manager to have solid contracts with the business unit customers
  • support the international business development managers for legal related documents (such as none disclosure agreements, letters of intent and final contracts)
  • support the international site- and key account managers with existing contracts and amendments
  • look for ways to improve the new and existing contracts
  • participate in internal and external meetings for contract related matters
  • have frequent and direct contacts with the business unit customers
  • monitor and work with the contract follow-up software tool
  • strive for and maintain a healthy and sustainable risk balance in our contracts
  • minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably in law, economics, or similar by experience
  • committed / focused / eagerness / team player / consistent / bridge builder
  • minimum 3 years in a comparable position
  • willingness to travel
  • language skills: Dutch: intensive professional experience / English: intensive professional experience / French: intensive professional experience / Italian or Spanish language experience are a plus
  • computer software skills: Advanced word knowledge / Basic excel knowledge
  • basic financial analysis skills
