The Business Unit (BU) Consumer Goods & Industry manages the complete supply chain flow from several Business Lines like Textiles, DIY products, Pharmaceuticals, Sporting Goods, Aftermarket logistics and E-commerce. KATOEN NATIE has 181 sites in 40 countries in Europe, North America, South America and the Far East and has more than 18.000 people active in operational, staff and management functions.

In Thailand, KATOEN NATIE has been active for over 20 years with multiple Business Units, expanding rapidly and currently counting over 1,000 people within its organization. The Business Unit (BU) Consumer Goods & Industry has been active for over 10 years in Thailand and currently manages more than 20 customers across 185,000 sqm of warehousing space on 2 KATOEN NATIE logistics platforms located in the Eastern Seaboard industrial region of Thailand.

To support the continuing expansion and optimization of operations in Thailand, we are seeking a candidate to strengthen our team as Business Support Operations Manager.

You will work closely with the site management team and become head of the Business Support Operations department, currently consisting of 3 junior Business Support specialists.

In this role you will have 3 main responsibilities: firstly managing the rollout of current and upcoming WMS-related projects (WMS migrations, new customer startups,…), secondly coordinating the day-to-day business support for existing operations and lastly training & development of the junior BSO team.

The assignment has an initial term of 1 year, with the possibility to continue in a permanent capacity after that. We are seeking a candidate to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of logistical data with a focus on optimization of existing processes and/or implementation of new processes
  • Parametrization and daily monitoring of our Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Ad hoc assignments concerning the WMS: for example inventory counts, reorganization of the warehouses, etc…
  • Organizing and coordinating WMS-related projects & assignments following our project management approach, both internally with the local and global KATOEN NATIE team as well as externally with customers and other stakeholders.
  • End responsibility for performance of the local Business Support Operations team
  • Training and development of the local Business Support Operations team
  • Supporting of and reporting to the site management team
  • Experience in operational and informatical logistics processes
  • Experience with KATOEN NATIE Business Unit Consumer Goods & Industry Power WMS
  • Experience with the departments and processes of KATOEN NATIE Business Unit Consumer Goods & Industry
  • Eager for a long-term challenge abroad

  • Goal & customer-oriented
  • You are fluent in spoken & written English
  • Being fluent in spoken & written Dutch is a plus
  • Experience in project management is a plus
