Financial analyst transport

The Business Unit (BU) Consumer Goods manages the complete supply chain flow from several Business Lines like Textiles, DIY products, Pharmaceuticals, Sporting Goods, Aftermarket logistics and E-commerce. KATOEN NATIE has several sites in 40 countries in Europe, North America, South America and the Far East and has more than 18.000 people active in operational, staff and management functions.

You will support the transportation team in Antwerp from a financial and analytical point of view:

• Check invoices in TMS (transport management system)
• Follow up credit notes
• Follow up issues
• Keep overview and support in P&L + root cause analysis on deviations
• Contact with other suppliers (carriers) and customers
• Having a strong interest in continuous improvement of processes. Thinking lean is a must.
• Evaluate and propose continuous improvements in the current process of checks and balances, both inside and outside the TMS.

You will be working in a rather small team with rather straight communication lines but you will get in touch with many different stakeholders. You will report to the BU Transport Solutions Manager.

• You have a Bachelor degree or equal in experience
• You are a strong communicator
• You can work independently and are able to work under strict deadlines
• Your knowledge of MS Office (mainly excel) is at an experienced level
• Strong spreadsheets modelling / Pivot Tables Skills is a must
• Strong analytical skills and financial background
• Relevant experience in Logistics and/or cost controlling is an asset
• You speak/write English fluently (Dutch & French is a plus)
• You will work in Kallo (Antwerpen)
