The Business Unit (BU) Consumer Goods manages the complete supply chain flow from several Business Lines like Textiles, DIY products, Pharmaceuticals, Sporting Goods, Aftermarket logistics and E-commerce. The Export Planner is responsible for the planning of the whole export process, consolidating the shipments from various plants, which are meant to be shipped by sea to the same consignee, while optimizing the container’s loading and informing the Shipping Officer to ensure the booking, stuffing and shipping of sea containers

The Export Planner is responsible for the planning of the whole export process, consolidating the shipments from various plants, which are meant to be shipped by sea to the same consignee, while optimizing the container’s loading and informing the Shipping Officer to ensure the booking, stuffing and shipping of sea containers.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing the shipments’ details (nbr of pallets, pallets’ height, stack ability code, weight and temperature requirement per consignee) sent daily via EDI;
  • Planning the consolidation of various shipments for the same consignee.
  • Defining shipments’ priorities
  • Optimizing the container’s filling rate and loading pattern, taking into consideration: all pallets of a shipment must be loaded in the same container and there is 1 container per consignee per Bill of Lading
  • Complying with temperature and other quality requirements during the planning process
  • Contacting the plant’s SPOC when the minimum container criteria is not achieved and the maximum lead-time (7 working days) of a shipment is achieved, to request approval to organize the sea shipment
  • Communicating with the Shipping Officer to ensure the timely booking, stuffing and shipping of the sea containers
  • Creating TRO, assigning TRO to OBD, releasing retention and linking OBD to TRO in due time
  • Improving the efficiency of the planning process from a quality, cost and timing perspective
  • Participating to KPI’s and stock analysis
  • Respecting the confidentiality clause
  • cordial relationship with the plants’ SPOC
  • Active participation in NOCE meetings
  • Act as a backup for colleagues of the NOCE team when needed
  • Eensure permanence and correct occupation
  • maintaining on a regular basis close and constructive contacts with the (internal and external) customers

 

Delegation:

In your absence, another Export Planner or designated NOCE colleague will take over your tasks and responsibilities. It is your responsibility to inform him / her about his / her tasks & responsibilities

  • • University or higher education
  • • Very good knowledge of Excel
  • • Knowledge of Access is a plus
  • • Strong analytical thinking and skills
  • • Fluency in English and Dutch, both oral and written – French and German are a plus
  • • Experience with Microsoft application, WHS management systems
